About Murray Marshall
Murray Marshall was a practicing lawyer for 35+ years; a member of the bars of Ontario, Québec and Alberta.
His practice focused on helping Indigenous communities achieve new levels of empowerment by exercising the strength of their inherent jurisdiction in numerous areas of economic development, including land-based and online gaming initiatives.
During the course of his legal practice, Mr. Marshall advocated for his clients in all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He has spoken at numerous conferences around the world and his articles have been published in a variety of journals including the Canadian Bar Review. Mr. Marshall has worked with Indigenous communities across Canada--in particular Kahnawake and Six Nations.
Retired from active practice in 2022, Mr. Marshall remains available to provide advisory and consulting services to selected clients.
Mr. Marshall lives in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
